I’ve decided to mosey on over to WordPress and start a more traditional bloggins for my Indie Author reviews. The reason being that, as Syria Says…, I’ve had quite a lot of unwanted attention from some less than savory groups associated with the goings on in the country I share a name with. (I even had to temporarily suspend my FaceBook account! What a travesty!)
As it is, I will now be reviewing under my actual name, Celia Eaves, and hopefully that won’t be a beacon for the wrong kind of attention… Though, I’ve always thought “beacon” and “bacon” look very similar and I’m always accepting bacon attention. This bloggins isn’t exactly what you’d call kosher. I can’t help it! I LOVE the bacon!
At any rate, the rules of the game are basically the same over here at Celia Can Read (or CCR in some circles). I’m still reading like a mad woman and trying to write some reasonably written reviews for you guys and your millions of future readers. As always, I won’t review a book that I feel falls below the traditional 3 star rating and I can usually tell within the first chapter or two if the book will garner that type of rating (from me, at least). I will continue to cross-post these reviews on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, etc. and anywhere else that you guys would like.
The biggest difference between Syria Says… and Celia Can Read will be the inclusion of the Character Interviews in my review posts. I really love those and so do most of your fans. So, I am going to make that sort of a trademark or at least a mildly amusing/interesting addition to CCR’s reviews. Ya dig?
One of the other things that I want to do more of is Beta Read and help you guys edit your books. I’m remarkable at finding errors in other people’s works…since I never make mistakes myself. *ahem* The prices for these services can be discussed in further detail via email, should you decide to take advantage of my offer.
I encourage you to check out my Submission Guidelines (they’re remarkably easy to follow) and my previous reviews. I will also be including some of my own writings and maybe even a non-related-to-writing bloggins. Who knows?! It’s gonna be cRaZY over here at Celia Can Read!
Or it won’t be.
It’ll be entertaining, if nothing else. That, I can promise you.
Thanks for reading!
